Another late night show in the wonderland that was Chicago last Monday night, for fog encompassed most of the city. We found ourselves at Lincoln Hall, with Chicago's own Volcano! opening up the night with some rather decent experimental, indie rock. They actually surprised me with their catchy guitar riffs, off beats, and weird synth which culminated into some rather good tunes. And finally Efterklang who's on tour promoting their new album Magic Chairs, I have to say this band is just one of those bands you need to see live to fully appreciate them in all of their glory. They uzze energy and excitement, their lead singer Mads Brauer was just a delight on stage that night, giving not one but about three toast of his wine glass to the crowd throughout the night. Overall I'd have to say this was a great way to spend a Monday night with a little local and Denmark flavor in the format of sound waves. And now enjoy some visuals by me.
