January 9th, 2012
No good deed appears to go unpunished. Following the recent announcement of a new album and a new tour, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has announced that he has been diagnosed with lymphoma. In an announcement on their Facebook page, the band says that despite Iommi's diagnosis, he appears to be in the very early and treatable stage of the disease.

Iommi's been the sole member of the band to be present during every incarnation of the band. He's best known for being one of the progenitors of all forms of heavy metal due to an...

I loved Cursive's last album, and I am fully prepared to love the upcoming I Am Gemini on February 21st. Never ones to shy away from the road, Tim Kasher and the boys will bring their magnetic, unpredictable, and occasionally dangerous show to the US in a huge two-month tour. The guys will be bringing our old pals in Cymbals Eat Guitars along for the ride as well as Ume, Mount Moriah, Virgin Islands, and Conduits. You can check the first impeccably catchy song from I Am Gemini over at Rolling...

Live Review: Skeletonwitch / Chimaira / Unearth
Blue Moose Tap House, Iowa City, IA - 12.16.11

It just takes one.

For those of us that are rampant concert goers, we all have the specific brand of idiot that’s ruined shows over and over again. For example, there’s Guy Who Crowdsurfs Seven or Eight Times Before Getting Punched in the Nuts. There’s also Quit Running Into My...

M83 Lays Down More North American,...

December 7th, 2011
M83 has progressively blown up into an all-out electrorock experience starting with his great 2005 album Before The Dawn Heals Us to the expansion into a full band with the live show on this Hurry Up, We're Dreaming tour. With that, the band is in higher demand, the venues have gotten bigger, and the tours are getting longer. The group really impressed us on one of the early dates in support of the new album at Moogfest, so it will be exciting to see how tight their show has become over time. Check out all of their current tour stops below, which include plenty of dates in North America, Europe, and Australia. If you...
